Born in Attaiyambatti, Salem district, studied in government schools, currently working as a teacher in Bengaluru, Karnataka state capital, for fifteen years.

Due to her insatiable love for Tamil, she started writing poetry from the age of sixteen. Her college professor, Nityabharathi, who belonged to Bharathi's village during her college days, earned her the title of Poet.

Although She has master's degree in four fields, she has written poems for more than 50 anthologies, more than 500 poetry certificates and done two world record event

She is also Karnataka State Organizing Secretary of Vallalar Muthamil Assembly.
